Together with Fintona, we developed a scholarship marketing campaign to champion, channel and connect prospective students with no ordinary scholarship, for no ordinary girl.

The situation

Strong community, stronger ability.

Established in 1896, Fintona Girls’ School is a leading independent school known for its academic excellence and strong community. Despite their deserving reputation for academic excellence, Fintona girls’ are well-rounded individuals who excel across many different areas. Fintona wanted to champion this and channel prospective ‘all-rounder’ students through a new scholarship opportunity and marketing campaign.

Not 'smart enough' for scholarships.

There is a perception held by some prospective students that they might not be ‘smart enough’ to apply for a scholarship.

We had to debunk this perception and create a campaign that spoke to students who had other strengths in addition to academia.

The solution

Accessible, not exclusive.

Our solution was to develop a scholarship campaign that focused on the range of strengths, skills and qualities Fintona were looking for in their students — emphasising the fact that this was ‘no ordinary scholarship for no ordinary girl’.

We wanted to get prospective students excited at the opportunity to apply for a scholarship that they may not have thought possible before.

Differentiation & awareness in a competitive environment.

Beyond the obvious financial incentive that comes with a typical scholarship program, our goal was to drive a greater desire for receiving a Fintona scholarship by building greater brand awareness and differentiation in a competitive environment through a unique scholarship campaign.
